“You Matter”
Empty, drained, and dismissed—
You matter.
Drained, depressed, and deluded—
You matter.
A shadow by day, awake all night—
You matter.
You do your best, or so you think—
You matter.
Trapped in nothing, yet freedom seems like a dream—
You matter!
You dread your dreams and curse the beams—
You matter,
Hoping for a day when you’ll see the sun—
You matter!
A time has come to bloom, not groom,
To grow from the ground and bind your fears—
You matter.
A time to shine, too bright to shy—
You matter.
Shine like silver should gold be too dear!
Flow like a creek should rivers be too rare!
Grow like the lawns should meadows be too grand,
Fall like the snow and make the world glow!
You matter!
You matter! You matter! You matter!
You always have, and you always will.
You matter!
