General Return Policy

The BIG Art Shop – Returns Policy

At The BIG Art Shop, we want you to be fully satisfied with your artwork. If for any reason you’re not, we offer a 7-Day Return Policy. Please note that returns are not free; customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Here’s how our policy works:

7-Day Returns (Customer Pays Return Shipping)

You have seven (7) days from the date you receive your artwork to decide if you’d like to return it. If you choose to return the piece, please contact us via email within this period. We will guide you through the return process and issue a full refund for the purchase price, minus the cost of return shipping.

  • For Australian orders: Customers are responsible for the return shipping costs.
  • For international orders: Customers are responsible for the return freight, and we will cover return shipping costs up to $100 AUD (please note that international duties, taxes, or customs fees are not covered by The BIG Art Shop).

Once the artwork is returned to us and processed, we will issue the full refund for the purchase price of the artwork.

Peace of Mind

We understand that buying art online can be a big decision. That’s why we provide a 7-day return window to ensure that the artwork fits your space and your vision. If you decide within this time frame that it’s not right for you, simply contact us, and we’ll assist you with the return process.

Returns Fair Use Policy

To ensure that the return policy remains fair for all customers, The BIG Art Shop allows up to two (2) returns per customer within a six-month period. After two returns, we may require written approval for additional returns. This ensures that the return policy is used as intended and avoids misuse.

Lay-By Orders

Lay-By orders are subject to a different return policy. If the artwork from a Lay-By order is unsuitable, it can be returned in exchange for a gift voucher equal to the purchase price. The voucher cannot be redeemed for cash and can only be used to purchase alternative artwork from The BIG Art Shop.

Framing and Custom Work

If you have requested framing or custom alterations to an artwork, please note that additional costs may apply. In the case of a return, the refund will be net of any framing or alteration costs incurred by The BIG Art Shop or the artist.

No Returns for Services

Please note that services provided by The BIG Art Shop, including but not limited to custom framing, art installation, or consultation, are non-refundable once the service has been completed. We do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for any services rendered.

Store Vendor Policies

All artwork sold through The BIG Art Shop, including from our store vendors, is subject to this 7-Day Return Policy, unless otherwise specified by the vendor. If a vendor has a different returns policy, it will be clearly stated on their individual store page. In such cases, the vendor’s policy will override The BIG Art Shop’s return policy for that specific vendor’s artwork. However, all store vendors are bound by the 7-day return period and conditions outlined in this policy unless they specify otherwise on their store page.

Insurance Claims

If your artwork is damaged during transit, we fully insure all shipments. If you notice any damage, please notify us within the 7-day return window. You can choose to:

  • Request a full refund,
  • Ask the artist to create a replacement artwork for you, or
  • Select another piece from our collection (store credit).

We handle all insurance claims, and the artist will be compensated for any damage caused during shipping. If returning damaged artwork, it must be shipped back using a trackable, insured carrier, and the tracking number must be provided to us.

Additional Terms

The BIG Art Shop reserves the right to extend the return period to 14 days for trade sales, corporate orders, or other specific cases where we see fit. Returns outside of the specified time frame or under different circumstances may not be accepted.
